Liselle Coker: BUILT WITHOUT HANDS

I was born in south Trinidad, studied Architecture in the United States, and returned  home to start my career. I felt displaced for a while and spent a few years wetting my feet in the design industry and also trying to find who I was as a designer (and an adult) in the Caribbean context after coming of age in a foreign setting.

Since then, I've come to value simple things like being true to what I believe, focusing my energy and time on what means most to me, and finding beauty in the context in which I live. I think there is a great deal of clarity and luxury to be enjoyed when we curate our lives to include just a few beloved people, possessions and places.

This blog is an exploration of how this search for artful simplicity informs my design (both Architecture and Interior) and lifestyle, and is an expression of hope that there are others who care to join me on this journey.
